Standard installation
- PVC WINDOWS
The installation of window joinery requires proper solutions, care and accuracy. The steps of standard installation are: cleaning the window opening, mounting the joinery using a method suitable for the construction and making thermal insulation and acoustic protection with the use of fitting foam. Below we would like to briefly describe the correct installation of window joinery.
Before the installation it needs to be checked if the windows fits in the opening, with assembly clearance 10-20 mm on each side of the window. As the mounting material bolts or dovels can be used. The distance between the dovels cannot exceed 70 cm. The distance from the welds and brackets must be at least 15 cm. Large windows need to be mounted in the bottom part of the frame with the use of a mounting bolt. Frames must be properly levelled both horizontally and vertically. Placing and mounting the window before final installation is performed with the use of wedges (which must be removed immediately after the installation). Diagonals should be measured and frame depth checked (diagonal variation no more than 2 mm). If no incorrectness is detected, the frame is mounted in the opening. The sashes are installed and their performance is checked. If all elements are working properly, the window is sealed with a fitting foam and the protective foil is removed.
